Bayside Hosts Round 3 of the 2023 State Series

June 24 saw Bayside BMX host round 3 of the Hutsix Auscycling QLD State Series. This was a bit of an honour for us as 2023 marks 40 years of BMX at our current site. Hosting over 500 of Queensland’s best riders aged from 2 to 50+ years presented a great opportunity for our members to step up from Club Racing.

Club President Sean O’Connor said “We are so proud that everyone rose to the occasion, with just about everyone improving on their PB (personal best) lap times over the day. Competition is not simply winning, it’s about challenging yourself, getting out of your comfort zone, developing your race craft & instincts.”

Thanks to the team of dedicated volunteers from Bayside and wider Queensland BMX community the track was in great condition, with lots of great food from the canteen, plenty of raffle prizes and an event that ran really smoothly.
