Bayside BMX Club is located on the corner of 1994 Wynnum Road and Network Drive Wynnum West (Opposite the Brisbane Bayside State College). The track is on the left just past the intersection with Kianawah Rd if you are travelling from the Gateway motorway heading towards Wynnum or if travelling from Wynnum, pass Wynnum Plaza & just over the hill.
We welcome all BMX Australia riders to our club for Tuesday Gates & Friday Night Racing. Like our FaceBook page and keep updated for additional events and training during State and National Championship when hosted at the Brisbane SX.
Bayside BMX Club is the former Wynnum BMX Club. In 1994 a group of parents and riders decided to revive the Wynnum BMX as the Bayside BMX Club Inc.. Our track is continually being worked on & our surrounds around the track are well looked after by the families of the club. The track has four bitumen berms (corners), bitumen start line and finish line which ensures our track is always in good shape. Our state-of-art Pro Gate, sponsored by the Bartons Subaru, is one of the safest and best in the country.Whilst our club is home to a number of World, Australian and State Plate holders, our objective is to provide an environment that is Family Friendly Club. Riders of all levels can enjoy the Olympic sport of BMX.
Our track is located just 8km from the Sleeman Sports Complex, venue of the 2016 QLD BMX State Titles & 2017 Australian Titles.
Wynnum is an eastern suburb of Brisbane in Queensland. It is approximately 20 mins from the centre of Brisbane on the South Eastern side of the Brisbane River. Close proximity to the Gateway Motorway provides easy access from the Gold Coast, Western Suburbs, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Airport. Wynnum is one of the Bayside suburbs, temperatures are mild with a gentle sea breeze most afternoons.
The club is a not for profit organisation that is run by a group of volunteers. Every family is important in ensuring the smooth running of our club. The club is primarily run by a committee who meet once a month on the last Wednesday night. Everyone is welcome to come along to these meetings and all constructive input is valued. In addition to the monthly meeting, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held once a year in December.
